The origin story
Winning John Keells X — where Jendo began
John Keells X, an open innovation challenge by John Keells Holdings PLC, held its inaugural competition in 2016, recognizing innovative and disruptive ideas. The winning team, Jendo — co-founded by Keerthi Kodithuwakku, Isuru Rajakaruna, and Charith Vithanage — won Rs 2 million for their groundbreaking non-invasive cardiovascular health monitoring technology. Out of 148 applications, 10 finalists were shortlisted and given 60 days to develop their ideas, with mentorship from JKH leadership.
